History of Halminen Homes
Halminen Homes has been building successfully in the Durham Region since
1973. The original partners have remained loyal to their roots here in Clarington,
to their trade and supplier partners, to their homebuyers as well as to
themselves.
The communities planned and built by Halminen Homes since 1973 remain recognizable
even today. They had their own internal architectural control guidelines
in place long before the municipalities enforced them. This ensured harmonious
streetscapes and not the “cookie-cutter” look that abounded
throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Halminen Homes has contracted an independent firm to track it's customer
satisfaction index; designed the Homeowner Manual which is hand delivered
to each homebuyer thus ensuring a positive buying experience; implemented
a series of meetings with it's customers throughout the construction process,
again demonstrating a positive commitment to their buyers and is now pursuing
a National Housing Quality certification.
